England's (provisional extended) squad for Euro 2020
Will be named by Gareth Southgate today at 1pm with more than 26 involved before it is reduced on June 1st.
Allows him to pick the injured Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson who hasn't kicked a ball in months while allowing for any injuries to Man U, Man C & Chelsea players in the Europa & Champions League finals.

Rice a certainty obviously and Lingard very likely now that the final number is 26.

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Man Utd), Sam Johnstone (West Brom), Jordon Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Sheff Utd)

Defenders: John Stones (Man City), Luke Shaw (Man Utd), Harry Maguire (Man Utd), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Kyle Walker (Man City), Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa), Reece James (Chelsea), Conor Coady (Wolves), Ben Chilwell (Chelsea), Ben Godfrey (Everton), Kieran Trippier (Atletico Madrid), Ben White (Brighton)

Midfielders: Mason Mount (Chelsea), Declan Rice (West Ham), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund), Phil Foden (Man City), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Kalvin Phillips (Leeds), Jesse Lingard (Man Utd), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Forwards: Harry Kane (Tottenham), Marcus Rashford (Man Utd), Raheem Sterling (Man City), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton), Mason Greenwood (Man Utd), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund)

Based on Mings performance yesterday he should drop him for White.

Surely we have enough defensive cover with Walker able to cover CB and even Rice at a push and bring in either Ward-Prowse or Lingard..

100%. Southgate is negative and unimaginative. He's the perfect FA manager and spokesperson, but he's a good manager.

Pub, I agree about Dunk. He would have been ideal next to Stones and great at set pieces

I'm worried Southgate is going to go five at the back, have Henderson next to Rice and have Rashford wide left

Me too, Mike.

Is Lewis Dunk injured, because if he isn't, he should have been selected.

Pickford
James - White - Stones - Shaw
Rice - Bellingham
Foden - Mount - Grealish

The decision to take White proves that Southgate has zero confidence in our defence - especially with Maguire injured.

Ward-Prowse is unlucky especially with Henderson not fully fit.

Lingard actually should have been in the initial squad. He can play about 6 attacking positions and a good striker option instead of Calvert Lewin. Once he missed out I couldn’t see how he would come in (unless injury to attacking player)
He should be ahead of Sterling and Rashford on current form but Southgate would never leave those two out. With them in there is no space for Lingard.

I think that 99% of people would say that Kane is vital.

I'd argue he is, with 34 goals in 54 games and a better goals to games ratio than anyone aside from Jimmy Greaves in the last 60 years, but each to their own.

Re: England's (provisional extended) squad for Euro 2020
Southgate tended to play Rice AND Henderson in qualifying ganes against the likes of the Isle of Skye didnt he so presume he will do so in the tournament.
With Phillips as cover.
Though you wonder if he needs Phillips and Bellingham
Or Saka at all

Personally I would leave out Henderson & Saka for Lingard & JWP

Kane isn't vital.

Players who aren't fit shouldn't be going. It never works out well and is just a waste of a squad place.

Only exceptions should be those few completely vital players like Kane, and ONLY if he's almost there. Henderson and Maguire are absolutely not vital so shouldn't be on the plane. Taking Rooney a few years ago when the cunt wasn't even fit by the time we were knocked out was pointless.

Stowie

Agreed about JWP/Phillips

You don’t need rice, Phillips and henderson in the squad. Rice is first choice now, so either henderson is fit and Phillips misses out or henderson isn’t up to speed and Phillips is in. Either way JWP should be in there instead of one of them

I think he knows Maguire is struggling so needed another CB in the squad after Mings being all over the shop which is why White is in.

White has also played RB and DM before too.

Centre back White replacing right back TAA should prove that WAISTCOAT caved in under scouse pressure, if you ask me.

Haha! You desperate fucking cunt. I wondered if someone would mention that and look what cretin it was. Do you even like football? Not a football man at all are you, just a spotty teenager in your mom's basement.

Don't address me on here again, cunt. You ain't worthy.

Have zero confidence in our chances this year.

We have alot of attacking talent but i dont think Southgate will use it properly.

Hopefully will be proved wrong but we seem to have managers that have their favourites and that usually boils down to what club they play for and how long they have been an international.

Bellingham, Mount, Foden and Grealish should all be starting against croatia.

Laughable to take White, but if we are still interested in Lingard it should help that he isn't on the plane.

What plane would that be? Most England games are at Wembley, you thick cunt.

Re: England's (provisional extended) squad for Euro 2020
Considering how much decent forward talent we have to look forward to, boring Southgate has managed to depress the country by picking loads of defenders to "cover" for injured players.
Let's just hope he picks the right team against Croatia to get us off to a good start.

It’s more of a travesty on JWP than Lingard. Best set piece taker in the country and he’s better than Phillips anyway. Fucking ridiculous from southgate.

Re: England's (provisional extended) squad for Euro 2020
Chicken - Agree to a point, but it's a 26 man squad so as others have already said you can take a risk or 2. I actually think Maguire will be ready sooner rather than later.
